During the "previously on" portion of tonight's show, there was a scene that I've never seen before. It was the one in which the gay son was on some kind of date with that girl, and they were talking to a drag queen for some reason. Where did that come from?? I've seen every episode so far, and I KNOW that scene hasn't been aired. So, does anyone else know what I'm talking?

Oh good, it wasn't just me... sloppy editing perhaps?

I guess that might not be the case after all. Check out the comment below.

Friday episode 1/20
Below is a message I have copied written by Jack Kenny to a poster on the NBC message board.

Hi... Jack here... And you are right, we have skipped over Episode 103 - "Revelations". It became very important to all of us - network, studio, staff - that we be able to show Episodes 104 (1/20), 105 (1/27), and 106 (2/3) BEFORE the Olympics began airing. The only way to accomplish this was to cut one episode, and it was universally agreed that 103 was the story that, if removed, would leave the least loose ends.

I apologize to fans of the show, that you'll have to catch up with some of those story lines here on the website - or maybe even in summer reruns, if we're lucky!! We've tried to address a few things in the "previously on"s in both 104 and 105, and in a flashback when possible.

I believe the only real loose end in tonite's episode - 104 - was when Peter said at the end that Adam had been "trying to get into my boss's pants at work." In 103, Peter had procured Adam a volunteer position at the learning hospital where he studies. Peter's immediate supervisor is Kristine - played beautifully by Kelly Hu - and she and Adam hit it off as friends immediately. Peter immediately assumes that Adam is trying to date her, and tension builds quite a bit between Adam and Peter. At the end of 103, we learn that Adam is indeed meeting Kristine at her apartment in the evenings - because she is teaching him Mandarin (a Chinese dialect). A selection of these scenes will be available for viewing on the website by the middle of next week, hopefully.

Again, sorry for the confusion, but I guarantee, when you see next week's episode, 105 and then 106 the following week - you'll know why we did it. They are two of the most amazing episodes, and I'd stake my reputation that 106 - "God's Will" (airing on 2/3) is one of the best episodes of Television that you'll ever see!

So please forgive me for that, and please keep watching! I love reading what the fans think!
